Privacy policy
What stays on your phone, and what doesn't.
At a glance
- Your answers, sessions, progress and notes live on your phone. We never see them.
- No account is needed. Sign in with Apple is optional and asks for no name and no email.
- What leaves your phone is anonymous: usage counts, crash reports, and purchase receipts so the app knows what you've paid for.
- Feedback you send us reaches us with what you typed, and your email only if you add it.
- This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from anyone else.
Who we are
FITHER is made and operated by FITHER, an independent developer in the United States ("we", "us"). We are responsible for everything described here. Questions and requests: hello@fither.pro.
What stays on your phone
The app is built to work without a server. Everything it needs to build and record your sessions is stored on your phone and only there:
- Your four daily answers: how much time you have, your energy, whether you need to be quiet, and anything sore or off limits.
- The sessions you do, what you completed, and what felt hard.
- Your level in each movement pattern, your points, and the days you trained.
- Any note you write after a heavy day. Notes are never sent anywhere, not even to us.
- Your settings, including the areas you always work around and whether the coach voice is on.
You can erase all of it at any time in Settings. Deleting the app also deletes it.
Signing in with Apple
You can use FITHER without an account. If you choose Sign in with Apple, the app asks Apple for no name and no email address. Apple gives the app an anonymous identifier, which is stored on your phone to keep you signed in and is not sent to us. Today the app has no servers of its own, so signing in sends us nothing. If a future update adds the option to keep a copy of your history with your account, we will update this policy before that update ships.
Subscriptions and purchases
Payment is handled by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your card or bank details. To know what you've paid for, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier created on your phone, your App Store purchase receipts and your subscription status. It does not receive your name or email.
Usage analytics
To learn which parts of FITHER work and which don't, the app sends a small number of usage events to PostHog, an analytics service, under an anonymous identifier created on your phone. If you sign in with Apple, that identifier becomes a one-way hash of your Apple user ID, so that you count once if you reinstall or use a second iPhone; the ID itself, your name and your email never leave the phone. The events are:
- the app was opened or sent to the background, or opened from a shared link
- the sign-in screen was shown, and whether you continued with Apple or as a guest
- onboarding was finished, and whether you have a chair
- each answer to the daily questions: the minutes, your energy, quiet or not, and how many areas you asked the app to work around, never which
- the app could not build a session, and what you chose next
- a note after a heavy day was kept or skipped, never the note
- a session was previewed, started or finished, its length, how it ended, whether it was your first, how many days in a row you had trained, and how each exercise in it ended
- a skill was reached
- the voice question and the reminder question, and how you answered
- a weekly intention was set
- a share was offered, started or completed
- the subscription screen was shown, which plan you tapped, and whether a purchase, a trial or a restore went through, was cancelled or failed
- which variant of a feature test you were shown
- you signed out or erased your data
Alongside the events the app records a few facts about the account: whether you are subscribed, how many sessions you have completed, the length you chose last, your weekly intention, whether the voice is on and whether you are signed in. The events never include the areas you asked to work around, your notes, your name, your location, your contacts, or anything about your body. Signing out forgets the identifier.
Crash reports
If the app crashes or hits an error, a report goes to Sentry, an error-monitoring service: what went wrong, the app version, your iPhone model and iOS version, and an anonymous installation identifier. The report carries no personal data; we strip anything an integration might attach about a user or a request before it is sent.
Feedback you send us
If you use Send feedback in Settings, we receive what you typed, your email address only if you chose to add it, the app version, your device model and iOS version, and the date. It is delivered to our inbox through Formspree, a form delivery service. We keep it while we act on it and for up to twelve months afterwards, or delete it sooner if you ask.
Reminders
A daily reminder, if you turn one on, is scheduled by your phone. There is no push server; nothing about your reminder leaves the device.
Shared links and this website
When you share from the app, the link opens a page on this site. Our pages set no cookies, run no analytics, and load nothing from other companies. A shared link says only which kind of page to show; nothing about who opened it is recorded.
Who processes data for us
| Service | What it handles | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, payments, App Store delivery | Apple's own terms apply |
| RevenueCat | Purchase receipts and subscription status | United States |
| PostHog | Anonymous usage events | United States |
| Sentry | Crash and error reports | United States |
| Formspree | Delivering your feedback to us | United States |
These services process data in the United States. If you use FITHER from somewhere else, the little that leaves your phone is transferred to the United States and handled as this policy describes.
How long we keep things
- Usage events: up to 12 months.
- Crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Feedback: while we act on it, then up to 12 months.
- Purchase records: as long as your subscription exists and as long as the law requires afterwards.
How we use it
What leaves your phone is used for three things only: providing the app and your subscription, keeping the app working and improving it, and answering feedback you send. Nothing is used for advertising. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Children
FITHER is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and it is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, email hello@fither.pro and we will delete it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or ask for a copy. Because almost everything lives on your phone, the Erase row in Settings handles most of this instantly. For anything else, email hello@fither.pro and we will answer within 45 days. We never sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will never treat you differently for exercising a right. If you live in California, these are your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; if you live in another state with a privacy law, the same rights apply to you.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any change that affects what leaves your phone will be in the app's release notes before it applies.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the United States.
